Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is the kind of game you play with headphones on in a dark room. It's an atmospheric side-scrolling adventure where your lantern reveals paths and hides dangers in equal measure.

The puzzles lean on light and shadow, and they build on each other nicely so you always feel like you're learning a language rather than memorising tricks. A couple of them stumped me for a while in the best way.

Touch controls are the only weak spot — the occasional precise jump can go wrong — but the mood and design more than make up for it.
